We offer an advanced service which requires a high level of skills, and considerable resources. The in-house options used by many independents typically will be a far simpler service that what we offer.
Online product sales are very competitive. It is a naive view in the modern age that someone will buy a product at a higher price for service value alone unless the seller is engaged in a broader service (eg fitting or design).
The Internet allows a seller to reach a large market. Old style retail profits (eg 100% markups) will not be possible. But a town retailer will typically have revenues of a 100K or 200K. Online the same merchant can have sales of 1-2 million.
The market prices are very fast moving and it is not likely anyone can know without expert advice.
